Opening on December 22 2007, the St Regis Singapore is not only the first St Regis in Southeast Asia, but also the first new internationally branded luxury hotel to open in the Lion City in over a decade.
Along with 299 gloriously finicky rooms and signature 24-hour butler service for every guest, the hotel boasts the first Remède Spa outside the United States, which pampers spa-goers with champagne and truffles. Be sure to try the Bloody Mary at The Astor Bar too. The classic cocktail was invented at the original St Regis Hotel in New York in 1933. The Singapore version, ‘Chilli Padi Mary’, has an Asean kick, substituting Chinese old ginger, lemongrass, chilli padi (extra spicy chilli) and sugar syrup for Worcestershire and Tabasco. |
